Perfect location for visiting York?s...

Liked: Fabulous location! About two blocks from the York Minster. It has a tiny entrance beside the Kennedy restaurant which might make it a little difficult to see. And I believe it must be fairly new because when we asked for directions folks didn?t recognize the name. Directions were provided but it is easy to get turned around in the city center. Remember to check your email for access instructions. There is no one onsite. You have a code to get in and then a key box for your individual room key. The entrance area to the hotel is painted in a graffiti-style motif which at first can be a little loud for seniors like myself, but again the location was perfect for hanging out in York?s historic city center. It is in the center of town, so expect to walk a little distance from the standard car parks/parking locations. Hotel is right beside the bar, so expect activities like live music, but I did not find it bothersome. The lovely team at the Kennedy will gladly hold your luggage which was extremely helpful. Wonderful communal tea/coffee area on the 2nd floor landing. Room was very modern. Typical size room for a boutique like this in the UK? but bed was big enough for two people with no problem. But room is not big enough to be hanging out in it for a long period of time. Everything was immaculate in the room. Although it was from an angle, I did have a lovely view of the Minster towers from my room. Small bathroom but it had great towels and other bath amenities.
Disliked: I do not believe there was a anything in the announcement about the elevator being out of order. Going to the room included about 5 flights of steps. With no one to help with luggage, this could be a challenge.
