The Spotlight on The Flint

Modern Style Meets Music-Lover Convenience in Belfast

The Flint is a contemporary, apartment-style hotel tucked in the heart of Belfast, just a short walk from major concert venues like The Waterfront Hall and the buzzing Cathedral Quarter. With minimalist design, smart in-room amenities, and a city-central location, it's a smart pick for music fans who want both comfort and convenience.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re less than a 10-minute stroll from key live music venues and nightlife spots. That means no expensive taxis or long walks after a show. Soundproofed rooms and blackout curtains help you recover after a late night, while the 3:00 PM check-in gives you time to settle in before the gig. Plus, with free high-speed WiFi and smart TVs in every room, you can stream tunes and prep your setlist in style.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a sleek space to crash that’s close to the action
- Solo travelers ticking a concert off their bucket list
- Couples combining live music with a romantic city break
- Fans who want a quiet, comfy base to recharge
- Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a touch of style

Food and Drink Options

While The Flint doesn’t have an on-site restaurant or bar, each room comes with a fully equipped kitchenette — including a dishwasher, oven, and kettle — perfect for post-concert snacks or breakfast on your schedule. You're also steps away from the Linen Quarter and St. George’s Market, packed with late-night eateries and brunch spots.

Nightlife Options

The hotel is a short walk to Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, known for its buzzing bars, live music pubs, and cocktail lounges. Whether you're up for an afterparty or a mellow nightcap, you’re in the right place. While there’s no bar on-site, the central location makes up for it.

What People Say

Travelers love the hotel’s clean and modern rooms, super central location, and value for money. Many reviews mention how convenient it is for attending events and exploring the city on foot. The in-room kitchen facilities are a big plus for longer stays or those on a tighter budget.

Areas for Improvement

During exterior renovations (until July 1st, 2023), some rooms may have a view of scaffolding — though the hotel has been upfront about it. Also, there’s no on-site bar or restaurant, so you’ll need to venture out for meals and drinks (luckily, you won’t have to go far).

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want a stylish, central, and affordable base in Belfast, The Flint hits all the right notes.

Pleasant

Liked: The location was good central for all amenities. The room had a kitchenette, which was a bonus, with a few sachets of tea and coffee and milk in the fridge, which was an added bonus.
Disliked: Very noisy, the road traffic was heavy, and being on the front of the hotel, there was no let up. The curtains didn't close properly, so let in light very early, and the hems were down, which made it look scruffy. The flooring was original parky, which was nice to have been preserved, but in places, it was broken and filled in with cement, which was uneven near the bathroom. The walls were thin. We couldn't sleep on the last night due to very noisy guests. So overall, it wasn't a great experience at the hotel
