Highly recommend

Liked: Loved that it is friendly, clean, modern rooms yet downstairs is an old charming Irish pub. Best of both worlds. You can not hear the noise from the pub or road inside your room
Disliked: It’s a minor thing but with it being hot weather a fan in the room would be a good addition. But overall I would stay again because it was fab.

Good but could do with...

Liked: Very central 20 min walk into o Connell st. Or 20 min walk to st Stephen’s green. Across the water from the 3 arena.
Disliked: No food/breakfast available, and no parking. We parked in a near by car park and it cost us €100.

Good if going out yourself

Liked: Good location, clean and friendly and helpful staff! Room modern and easy to access.
Disliked: The rooms were roasting whilst we stayed for 2 nights, even with the windows open it didn’t help! Also the noise was crazy from the bar definitely not sound proof which we thought from reviews! Suitable if you’re going out yourselves but need earplugs and a fan to make the stay comfortable.

Super convenient pub stay with...

Liked: Location is excellent. You are across from the Samuel Beckett Bridge (the harp), and walking distance to everything. The room was good sized for a couple of nights, and the pub's own stout was a rival to Guinness. The staff were kind and super helpful. Our flight was cancelled very last minute and they helped us to stay two extra nights in the same room. We liked being across from the river and near the docklands. It is much nicer than the more touristy Temple Bar area. There are a lot of great little cafes and restaurants in the area, too. Accessibility notes: you must climb stairs (2-3 flights) to get to your room; the shower is step-free and had a powerful shower head! All was clean and fine. The beds are comfortable and the king size was such a luxury.
Disliked: This is not a negative for us but a note for others: Be aware that you are staying over a very popular pub. If you request or get a riverside room you will have pub and traffic noise. The pub is great for the pints and the craic, but locals hang out below your window and socialize in the evenings so it is loud. They taper off around 11pm and are pretty much gone by midnight. We we didn't find it a problem. It was great to people-watch from our window and watch the world and river go by. No points lost for the lively pub atmosphere, just fair warning to anyone who gets grumpy about noise.

Very good

Liked: Location was perfect, being in the centre of Dublin. Although the room was next to a heaving, bustling bar, you could not hear any noise in the room, perfect for weary travellers. Bar staff were great.

Very good

Liked: This is a nice historical (I think) building but wouldn't call it a hotel. More like a B without B. Situated above a busy bar and on a main street. Even though the room was on the 3rd floor and once the door on the stairs separating the lower bar section was closed, you couldn't here the bar visitors, if you stayed on the stairs! But the room was facing the main street where many of the bar visitors were gathering out, on the pavement, chating loudly and laughing, as they do. The noise was very loud and we could only relax once the bar closed its doors past midnight. The views from the window were nice. And the staff who checked us in was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The noise from the bar.
