Ok hotel for stopover

Liked: Nice historical building, good location the the centre of the town. Good decor, good choice of breakfast and staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful.Room and bathroom very ckeab. Nice touch to have a treat and dog bowl
Disliked: Very htight entrance to car park. Reception on arrival so-so. "Information is on an info sheet in the room'". I prefer some info to begiven at check in and can then refer to thesheet if necessary. Room and bathroom. were smaller than expected from a superior room and did not quite match website photos. Bed sagged to the size and very hard pillows

Comfortable and friendly hotel but...

Liked: We have stayed here multiple times and find it a very convenient location, comfortable and friendly.
Disliked: The food! I'm afraid the quality of the food was not as good as previous visits. There appeared to be a propensity to overcook fish.

Liked: The staff, (a shout out to Lucy who was brilliant), the character of the hotel and fantastic cocktails
Disliked: Being on the 2nd floor, however room and bed were delightful.The breakfast quality was okay, however, the size of the actual breakfast plates were huge!
