Set in 14 acres of wooded grounds and gardens this relaxed country house hotel with a 2-AA-Rosette restaurant is 1 mi from the university and market town of Lampeter. The Cambrian Mountains and coastal villages of Cardigan Bay are just a 30-minute drive away. The Falcondale Hotel has a lovely view from its conservatory and an atmospheric log fire in the winter. In summer you can enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. The hotel is 12 mi from the picturesque harbor town of Aberaeron. There are three National Trust Properties located within 12 miles of The Falcondale Hotel.

Lovely stay but not the...

Liked: Set in lovely grounds and very quiet. Restaurant was nice
Disliked: It feels like it needs some money spent on it as felt tired (for the price and the grand photos). Stairway very smelled musty. It was clean but just felt a little lacking

We stumbled upon the hotel...

Liked: The location was beautiful, the staff could not have been more helpful or more welcoming and the food was excellent. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Disliked: Nothing - it was somewhere we would love to visit again.

A wonderful stay that exceeded...

Liked: Our room was absolutely lovely - room 8. We had a wonderful view right across the countryside and it was very restful.The cheese soufflé was delicious and a real treat.All the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble.I

Great place to holiday with...

Liked: It is a great place to bring your dog. The staff, all, make sure that the doggy is at ease
Disliked: Not much, except the roads can be tricky.

Near perfect!

Liked: The staff exceeded my expectations in the way they looked after me during my stay. On arrival I had a friendly welcome and was escorted to my room. The gentleman booked me in for dinner and went through the service times and wifi etc. I enjoyed a drink on the patio, prior to dinner and my meal in the conservatory was extremely good. The staff again took good care of me, the menu was varied and the quality of the food and service was 1st rate. Breakfast was more of the same, and I look forward to my next stay at The Falcondale.
Disliked: Everything was excellent. If I am being picky, the bathroom would benefit from updating, but everything worked perfectly well.
