Clean and friendly but needs...

Liked: Lovely friendly staff and very clean. Handy for M1. Nice modern bathroom
Disliked: The restaurant and bar were closed (for refurbishment).No hairdryer that I could find so I left with dripping wet messy hair. Window opened but wouldn't shut (no doubt the staff have the knack but we were too tired to go back down)

Disliked: Could have. been aircon for the price i paid !!!

Disliked: Didn't know before I booked that the bar and restaurant were not in use as they were being refurbished

Disappointing

Liked: Room was comfortable but had to ask at reception for hairdryer
Disliked: The restaurant and bar wasn’t open and we were not notified about this. We were told the hotel had changed name but not that the restaurant and bar wouldn’t be open. Was expecting to get a meal at the hotel. I was not offered a reduction in price for the lack of facilities so very disappointed as if I had known I would have cancelled my reservation

Liked: Newly refurbished rooms were lovely, staff very friendly and also helpful with taxi’s.

Liked: Nothing except good wifi
Disliked: Hotel was in middle of renovations and was a building site with workmen, diggers, scaffolding around building, and various building equipment around the area. Dust was everywhere.Whilst we were aware that restaurant not available did not realise breakfast was also not available. Offered breakfast at Golf Club 1/2 minutes up the road at a 10% discount and of course room fee adjusted.TV did not work, breakup of picture. Reported to reception but unable to fix, did offer another room after two days.No place to store suitcases expect on floor.Basic facilities certainly not a deluxe room. Room cleaning was not to standard with room bin not being emptied. (You had to request room cleaning it was not provided automatically)No room phone. You had to go to reception.Bathroom door had to kept closed or Fire Alarm could be set off.

Disliked: Staff smoking outside main reception door, lack of air conditioning, restaurant/bar not ready, when booking web site advised it would be available.
