First class all the way. My first stay there was in 1970 ($45/night) - was excellent then and remains the same, if not better. The Tonga room is awesome.

Liked: Bellman was exceptional. When I did identify issues for hotel staff, they were apologetic and addressed them.
Disliked: Room was not clean upon arrival. There was a bar of soap stuck to the tub and a used shower cap. Front desk staff made inappropriate request to extend reservation. And on second night of reservation in room dining indicated that they did not have a name on my room. I did not feel welcome at this property the entire stay.

Liked: The service was exceptional. The room in the tower with th bay view was a real treat to wake up in each morning.

Keep an eye on your...
Liked: The hotel is beautiful and everything you would expect from a great hotel but keep an eye out on your valuables.
Disliked: Only reason I gave a poor rating is because they misplaced our luggage. It took them 2 hours to find it only after we went to the lobby. They gave much of nonsense excuses but they found it and we thought that was okay. When we opened our luggage a shoe, a leather jacket, and cosmetic pouch was missing. Until now, no response on our missing products and we are checking out tomorrow. Terrible service for a 5 star hotel. Make sure you lock your luggage and valuables in your room.
