Unimpressive, and a bit ripped...

Liked: The staff were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. There were two brownies in my room which were tasty.
Disliked: For a Fairmont, I expected a lot more. The room decor is old and not in a classy way; the decor is looking very dull and drab. The room looked like any other 3-star hotel room. The lighting wasn't too good. I had also asked for rose petals on the bed and a flower arrangement with a budget of 30 dollars. There were no rose petals, and the arrangement was rather skinny for 30 dollars. I expected to be really blown away, considering the price and the prestige behind the Fairmont name. And honestly, I was very underwhelmed, I've been to hotels that were much nicer for less. I wish I had booked a Marriott instead. Also, there was no free breakfast or wifi, which when booking miffed me a little but I thought the hotel would be so fantastic that I wouldn't mind. For the price you pay a night, there honestly should be free breakfast or wifi, or at least the wifi should cost less. Why would I spend 20- 30 dollars for wifi I need for one night. This isn't a computer cafe in 2005. Also, parking was ridiculously expensive too. It costs more than overnight parking in other downtown parking lots. Also, I had to pay 5 dollars for the water bottle in my room. I understand its a "high end" hotel, but the charges are ridiculous. Honestly, the money you pay is just for the name, which I don't mind usually but the hotel isn't even that nice, so I felt ripped off.
