The Spotlight on The Exhibitionist Hotel

Bold, Boutique, and Steps from London’s Cultural Icons

Modern art meets 18th-century charm at The Exhibitionist Hotel, a luxury boutique stay right in the heart of South Kensington. Housed across beautifully restored townhouses, this hotel is just a short stroll from Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, and South Kensington Underground Station. With edgy design, rotating art exhibits, and bespoke furnishings, the vibe is chic, creative, and unmistakably London.

Each room features a walk-in shower and bathtub, Anyah toiletries, and thoughtful touches like in-room entertainment. For a next-level experience, the Spa Suite includes a private indoor hot tub, while the penthouse boasts a terrace with an outdoor TV—perfect for after-show chills.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and The Exhibitionist Hotel delivers. You're within walking distance of Royal Albert Hall and just minutes from the tube, making late-night returns from other venues across the city a breeze. Despite its central placement, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere for decompressing after high-energy shows. The 3pm check-in and 11am check-out give you a little more breathing room before and after your event.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near London's iconic venues
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream gig and wanting a safe, central location
  • Couples turning a concert into a cultural weekend
  • Music fans who want a quiet, artful place to wind down
  • Budget-conscious fans who want luxury touches in a boutique space

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant for late-night dining, you’re surrounded by South Kensington’s buzzing food scene—just steps away from great eateries, pubs, and cafes. Room service is available, and the hotel’s continental breakfast includes both hot and cold options—perfect after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

You’re a short walk from classy cocktail bars, traditional pubs, and upscale lounges in the Kensington and Knightsbridge areas. For music after music, nearby venues often host jazz nights and intimate gigs. While The Exhibitionist doesn’t offer its own live music, its location makes it effortless to find a post-show drink or vibe.

What People Say

Guests love the bold, artistic interiors and the gallery-like atmosphere. Many mention the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the proximity to the Royal Albert Hall and top museums. The rooms are described as stylish and comfortable, with standout features like private hot tubs and terraces.

Areas for Improvement

This is a boutique hotel, so rooms can be on the smaller side, especially in historic buildings like these. Some guests mention the lighting is more mood-setting than practical. And while there’s no full-service restaurant, the local dining scene definitely makes up for it.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a concert in Kensington or beyond and want a uniquely stylish, centrally located hotel with artistic flair, The Exhibitionist Hotel hits all the right notes.

Fantastic location, well maintained &...

Liked: The location was fantastic. Just around the corner from The Natural History museum & science museum.South Kensington underground was only a 5 minute walk. I was delighted & surprised to find my room had its own little private balcony with table & chairs. As I am not a tourist when visiting, I actually utilise my hotel rooms a lot so it was lovely sitting on the little balcony with coffee & a book.
Disliked: Probably breakfast had limited choice for a five star, but it was still lovely & fine for me.

The decor is nice but...

Liked: Good location, near Hyde Park, Museum of Natural History and Royal Albert Hall.
Disliked: The room was tiny, barely room to walk around. We paid £678 for 2 night….the photos are misleading. The bar area is the same as the breakfast area and reception is where there are a few seating options. Reception were blasé when we complained, the hairs in the bath were still there from the previous occupants. I thought I would leave a review because you seem to reply to these rather than an email.

Liked: Fourth trip, very good hotel, comfortable bed, nice rooms and good breakfast.
Disliked: Staff asking me if I was staying at the hotel and which room when I came to collect my luggage and asked where the bathroom was before saying I had my luggage in storage.
