Great little country pub

Liked: A great little hidden gem, rooms clean and comfortable, meals nicely presented.
Disliked: Nil

Nice to stay outside the...

Liked: Staff very attentive, smiley and friendly. Good selection of lagers/beers, food was plentiful pub grub. Room was in the building to the rear away from the main road. Room decor dated as per other reviews, however bathroom was exceptionally clean with everything you needed. I liked the addition of oat milk on the tea tray. Easy free parking and around £10 for a taxi to the city. We would return as the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They are a credit to you.
Disliked: Unfortunately our first choice of evening meal was unavailable alongside two of the breakfast menu items which was a shame. Soundproofing would be helpful in the room as you can hear quite a lot from the hallway and other rooms. We did get woken by noisy guests returning to their room unfortunately.

Did the job and wonderful...

Liked: Staff were excellent and really enjoyed myself in the pub. Room was clean and the bed was comfy.
Disliked: The shower was awful and the overall decor was dated. Definitely needs some updating and TLC.

Great staff, great food, well...

Liked: Rooms were well appointed with tea, coffee, water, air con.
Disliked: Decor dated and for the price, I would have expected something more modern. Pillows all the same, rather than having a different composition for the spare pillows. Two pillows were too high and one was not enough. Needed something in the middle of the thickness of the main pillow

Friendly, good location, lovely food.

Liked: What a welcoming place to stay.The service was efficient, professional and courteous.We had dinner in their restaurant, which was excellent and enjoyed a full 'English' the following morning.

Relax here knowing Debbie will...

Liked: Food was amazing and the staff are exceptional. Debbie, Caroline and Bernie are lovely ladies and nothing is too much trouble. Bernie even leant me her hot water bottle!
Disliked: Everything was exceptional. A small wall mirror in the bedroom area would be an asset.
