The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and roomy. Hotel staff was nice; the location is great!

Disliked: No closets! And the noisy renovations to the hotel. Only one elevator working.

Perfect and a very memorable...

Liked: We loved all the staff they were so welcoming, smiley and helpful and gave great suggestions of things to do and were incredibly accommodating to us. The rooms were clean and a good size. I loved the breakfast offering at the cafe
Disliked: Nothing everything was perfect!

Expensive for what it was....

Liked: The room was clean nicely designed with plenty of natural light.
Disliked: I found the check in staff member rather disengaged. Didn’t send a porter up with our luggage. Took a long time to check me in without explaining why. Lots of staring vacantly at the computer. Ground floor is very dark and unappealing as a first experience. Breakfast is basic and unappealing with no variation.

Disliked: the breakfast items were tasty but quite small so we usually picked something up afterwards. also the coffee options for breakfast were all filter coffee, so pretty basic

Liked: Everything! Beautiful Art Deco hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, location is perfect, rooms nice and clean. We stayed a few times in New York and The Evelyn hotel is by far the best experience. They even go an extra mile with small touches that make big differences such as complementary breakfast and wine for their guests. Highly recommended!

Liked: I see what they’re trying to do, it is very boutique and cute, but overall the property lacks
Disliked: The rooms were extremely dark minus the bathroom, and overall for what I paid I felt like I could get a better room just up the street for a better price. I realized I had to come in earlier for work and when this hotel didn’t have rooms available. I stayed up the street and wish I stayed at that other hotel for the whole stay. It was cheaper and my room was way nicer.
