The Estes Park Resort

Spectacular views!

Liked: Great place! The views are spectacular! The property is on Lake Estes and there is a 4 mile loop around the lake for walking or biking. There is a marina where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks close by. The restaurant has delicious food and the staff is very friendly. There are cute outs and other seating areas around the property. We did not have time to take advantage of the spa, but many guests said it was wonderful. It was a short drive to town. We would stay there again when visiting Estes.

Disliked: I booked a room with Mountain View and then wanted to come earlier and the resort was able to find me a room which they assured me would be the same as what I had chosen. Instead I got a room with balcony facing the entrance of the resort with lots of people standing around and foot traffic rendering the balcony unusable and we had to keep our curtains on to avoid people looking into the room. Also, I was charged $200 more for the room in comparison to what I paid for a room with a view.

Disliked: Moved the handicapped parking areas out further to put in bigger circle driveRemoved old carpet with big ridges in it and put in nice new tile… but many many places to catch your shoes on the uneven places and trip!

Liked: Location was perfect. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room was great, and the view of the lake was great as well. The ice machine was broken, but didn’t hinder our stay! Would definitely recommend this place!

Nice hotel but not worth...

Liked: It is a nice hotel. Nice that it was on the lake. Close to downtown. Friendly staff.
Disliked: It was a very poor value. For a room that ran over 400 for a night you would expect a LOT more in respect to the facility. It was a very normal room, on the small side, parking lot view from the small balcony and the interior hallways are dated. Not really clean as we found the floor dusty and objects left from prior guests. Shower knob fell off and there was no fan in bathroom. It is a fine hotel...but not remotely close to other 400 a night rooms I have stayed at. We had just stayed at a Hyatt in Co Springs for 180.00 a night that was 2x nicer then this hotel.
