Liked: The Inn has a garden courtyard that is a welcome change from the chain hotels nearby. The Inn and the rooms are surprisingly spacious. Great shower! Didn't use the pool or exercise room this time, but took a long run through a park that is accessed from right behind the Inn (also has a frisbee golf course). Saw pileated woodpeckers, despite the natural area's somewhat degraded condition from its proximity to the city!
Disliked: We paid more for a room with a kitchenette. It had pots and pan but no cutting board or cutting knives, and just a few plastic cooking utensils. So, we were hard pressed to cook the meal we had planned (which included lots of chopped vegetables), and the front desk was less than friendly when we asked after cutting knives and salt. The breakfast is mediocre for people that tend on the high-nutrient side; there was no milk other than cow milk, no nuts, and only white bread.

A quaint, clean, fun hotel...

Liked: The hotel was very clean, unique, and beautiful. The tea and cookies were a nice touch. The breakfast was very good. Again, we never once worried about cleanliness. The room smelled, appeared, and felt very clean. My kids loved the large pool... we went out and bought swimsuits for them just so they could play in that pool. It was clean and we appreciated the extra towels.
Disliked: The beds were not comfortable, and neither were the pillows. That is one of the most important parts of any hotel stay, and unfortunately it missed the mark. The desk chair in our room is not usable. It should be tossed. And one of the main reasons I picked this hotel is that the noise between rooms was supposedly muted. Unfortunately, with a 1st floor room right by the front door, we heard lots of noise outside the room. We also clearly heard talking and barking in the room next door through the wall.
