Good

Great location for a short...

Liked: Location, friendly staff, comfortable room except for the heat. Fan was provided.
Disliked: Very creaky floorboards, so you did hear people coming and going down the hallway. Hairdryer should be standard in the room. They are available on request but wasnt aware of this so had already had a shower when I realised there wasnt one in the room so had to go back to reception in a different building which was later delivered to the room.

Would only consider visiting mid-week.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: There are no facilities if you check in on Sunday for Monday business meetings. No bar or restaurant. The place seemed to be deserted after 6:00pm. The breakfast was poor and overpriced. Having one appeared to be an inconvenience.

straight forward and trouble free.

Liked: The staff were pleasant and helpful. I very much enjoyed my meal (thai green curry) which they made "hotter" on request. There were plenty of parking options. Power sockets were dotted all around the room allowing a lot of flexibility.
Disliked: I was staying in "the stables" which I would say were fairly "basic". Nothing wrong per se, but maybe a little dated. The main issue was that it was *very* warm so I wasn't all that comfortable, but then most places are no better...Even though my window had to be left wide open, I did not experience any noise as I was quite set back from all the local roads and the main hotel.The TV was a bit old and small, but it worked, which is better than I can say for other hotels.The shower did not have the most straight forward mixer requiring the odd urgent retreat and adjustment..For the most part. There was nothing I would actually complain about.

For the price, would recommend...

Liked: Staff welcoming & helpful. Breakfast was very good. Meals well priced in restaurant.
Disliked: Was located in the 'stables' accommodation. Floors creaked a lot! Bathroom was clean but could do with some wall hangers to put towels on, or clothes etcBedroom was small. Difficult to navigate the furniture & on moving the bed to access window, under the beds needs a good clean.

Liked: Good location, staff were lovely, mattress could do with replacing, definitely past its best, room upstairs had creaky floorboards! All good apart from that.
