Our stay was adequate for...

Liked: The room was clean, it was a very good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel benefitted from ample parking.
Disliked: The most disappointing and unexpected element of our stay was that when we checked in, we ordered breakfast for the following morning but when we made our way over to the main building from the room at 8:15am we found the doors locked, the rooms in darkness and no sign of any staff around at all. We packed and returned to the main building again at 8:40am to check out, but still there was no-one about. As regards the room, it was clean and comfortable, but it was disappointing to see that the main window in the room was broken, a couple of teaspoons would have been really handy and the TV was tiny and difficult to see clearly from the bed on the other side of the room. Also, we were on the ground floor of the 'old stables' and during the night we were disturbed by very loud creaking noises coming from the stairs as other guests accessed their rooms above.

Liked: The breakfast was the best I have had it was excellent and the staff member who served it,Also had an Indian meal at hotel again excellent real traditional food

Liked: Location to walk into town is very good. Hotel is situated in grounds slightly set back from the main road.The staff we came into contact with were attentive and polite.
Disliked: Our room was a bit tired and dated. The curtains do not completely shut out the powerful lighting along the front of the hotel.Breakfast was good, although the tomato included in the full English breakfast was raw and uncooked. The toast both of us were served was stone cold, which was a bit strange.
