Relaxed Comfort Near the Music Scene of North Texas

Modern and spacious, The Elm a Ramada by Wyndham in Little Elm offers a laid-back stay about 26 miles north of Dallas. With an inviting outdoor pool, onsite restaurant, and free parking, it's a smart pick for travelers who want convenience without the downtown chaos. Located within easy driving distance of major North Texas venues, this hotel blends comfort and affordability in a friendly, suburban setting.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a great home base if you're catching a show in the Dallas-Fort Worth area but want to avoid city-center prices. It’s roughly 25–30 miles from popular venues and benefits from free parking, so you can drive in for the show and head back to a quieter space to unwind. The 12:00 PM check-out is a big plus for anyone who stayed out late. Quiet at night, with helpful 24/7 reception in both English and Spanish, it’s an easy, low-stress option for recharging after a show.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a chill place to crash
Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list artist
Couples spending a weekend at a nearby concert
Fans who want a quiet post-show recovery
Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t mind a short drive to venues

Food and Drink Options

Enjoy the convenience of an onsite restaurant and bar — perfect for grabbing dinner before the show or a nightcap after. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel’s location gives you access to nearby eateries in Little Elm and Frisco. With breakfast options available, you won’t have to head out hungry the morning after a late night.

Nightlife Options

While The Elm doesn’t host live music on-site, the nearby area offers plenty of bars and lounges for pre- or post-show drinks. The hotel bar is a relaxed spot for a local craft beer or cocktail, and you're within driving distance of Frisco’s buzzy bar scene if you’re up for more.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, modern rooms and the friendly staff. The free parking and easy access to highways make it a favorite for travelers coming in for events. The pool and fitness center are popular extras, and reviews highlight how quiet and comfortable the hotel feels at night — a big plus after loud shows.

Areas for Improvement

It’s a bit of a drive to major venues, so having a car is a must. Some guests mention a lack of nearby nightlife within walking distance, but the peace and quiet make up for it. Limited late-night food in the area, so plan ahead if you're prone to post-concert cravings.

The Bottom Line

A relaxing, affordable option for concert-goers who prefer a quieter stay after the music fades — with easy highway access and solid amenities.

Mixed opinions overall. Previous comments...

Liked: On a positive note, the view from the room was nice. The room was large, having plenty of space. Roomy bathroom, nice shower, plenty of light. Would have liked having a night light to see how to access the bath from the bed, when the lights were out for the evening and the window shade closed. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Pillows make or break a good night's sleep. It would have been nicer with pillows that were not so thick and hard. Husband was trying to sleep as I watched television, so I avoided turning on a lamp. I used a flashlight to see the controls on the remote, but the television was very bright and he had a hard time sleeping. The next morning, he suggested that the television would be better suited in front of the sofa on the opposite wall. The coffee for the keurig was very strong and not to my liking; however, he was able to drink it. I would suggest have two choices of coffee. Perhaps a salted caramel for ladies and the one you chose for the gentlemen. Every time anyone would enter or leave a room, the door would slam loudly and disturb my husband's sleep. We did not like the very thick pillows. Fortunately, I brought my own head pillow; however, my husband had a problem sleeping on the very thick pillows. They were even too thick for a between the knees pillow for myself. We had a hard time regulating the air in the room. It was either too warm or too cold. Also, the people in the room next door were disturbing. The lady was in the hall screaming, the two kids ran out of the room and were crying or hollowing; couldn't tell which and the husband was yelling in a very loud voice in the hallway. I called the front desk out of concern and was told they were having a hard time getting the kids to sleep? We considered eating at the cafe; however, upon approaching, there was a strong smell of burnt smoke from a grill, so we ate elsewhere, outside of the hotel.

Neat area and comfortable beds

Liked: Great location. It is right next door to a cool playground for the kiddos and a delicious ice cream shop is a very short walk from the hotel. It has a neat balcony with beautiful views on the 4th floor where you check-in. The beds were very comfortable.
Disliked: The pool area is ok. You definitely will need an umbrella if you need some shade. Better signage on where to go for check-in. It is assumed people know they have to take the elevator up to the 4th floor for check-in. Just a sign that says check-in take elevator to 4th floor would work great!

The Elm is Just okay...

Liked: It was okay. I got the feeling they are trying to be a little more "high-end" than they really are.
Disliked: It's hard to put a finger on it, but I'll say this, if you're a business person you'll love it. If you're traveling with family, you might not so much. There's no coziness or warm, welcoming vibe here. I've been in lots of hotels and the staff at most are pretty friendly and helpful. I definitely didn't get that feel from the staff at "The Elm" but they were getting the job done so that's what really counts. The location was really close to family in the area so it was fine for that. Also, beware - if you get a room on the first floor, your window faces the parking lot. The blinds weren't much help. If you opened them for light you had no privacy from people in the parking area. There are no curtains so we just kept the room dark.
