Liked: Lovely location by the river. Decent sized single room with good ensuite. Clean and comfortable. Easy ample parking right at the hotel. Breakfast service friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The dining room has a rather 'basic' impersonal feel to it despite its lovely views....noisy with a very springy floor, and only an adequate DIY buffet at breakfast. On both days, a large party of guests were finishing off after taking breakfast at 7am presumably...by the time I got there at 8am the buffet was running down, and staff were elsewhere for some time. The hotel was a bit of a maze, with inadequate signage...window frame in my room in the older part was very dilapidated. The room was way far too hot on arrival, and had to have the small window open all night, despite turning the thermostat on the radiator right down....a lot of wasted heat...not good!
