With free Wi-Fi, free private parking, and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a great base for exploring the city’s concerts and culture.

Why Concert-goers love it

You're only about a 7-minute drive from downtown venues like Shea’s Performing Arts Center and other local hotspots, making it easy to catch a show and be back at the hotel in no time. The hotel’s quiet residential location gives you a peaceful retreat after a loud night. While check-in is flexible from 3:00 PM, note that checkout is earlier than average at 9:30 AM—so plan that post-concert sleep-in accordingly. Free parking and reliable Wi-Fi make late-night Uber pickups and streaming your favorite setlist a breeze.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a stylish, affordable base
- Solo travelers chasing bucket-list gigs
- Couples making a romantic weekend of it

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no full restaurant onsite, there is a convenient snack bar for quick bites and drinks. You’ll find plenty of walkable cafes and eateries nearby offering late-night options and hearty breakfasts to help you recover after a night out. Rooms are equipped with coffee machines so you can start your morning right, even if it's a bit early!

Nightlife Options

The Edward Buffalo is just a short drive or ride-share from Buffalo’s nightlife hubs. You’ll find local bars, lounges, and live music venues nearby, especially around the downtown area. While there’s no bar or live music onsite, the hotel’s location makes it easy to dive into the local scene—and retreat to quiet at the end of the night.

What People Say

Guests love the historic charm blended with modern comfort, and many praise the cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and stylish rooms. The private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and flat-screen TVs are frequent highlights. Reviewers often mention the free parking and easy access to concert venues as major perks.

Areas for Improvement

If you’re hoping to sleep in, the early 9:30 AM checkout might be a bit of a downer after a late night. There’s no full restaurant or bar on-site, so you’ll have to head out for meals or drinks. But with so many great spots nearby, that’s hardly a deal-breaker.

The Bottom Line

The Edward Buffalo is a stylish, peaceful choice for concert-goers who want to stay close to the action—then unwind in comfort.

Disappointing and weird stay

Liked: Decor was interesting. Room was clean.
Disliked: Beds were far too soft and uncomfortable - one of our party slept on the floor the bed was so soft. Directions to the parking were unclear (and the parking lot was not what we expected). Shower was very weak and bathroom set up was strange (sink in the bedroom corner). Lack of front office staff made the vibe weird - like an AirBnB.

Exceptional

Liked: Clean, quiet, centrally located property in a beautifully restored historical building. We really appreciated the complimentary tea & coffee in the room and water & snacks in the lobby. Loved the decorating in the Green Suite! Would stay again & highly recommend to others!

Not bad.. not great!

Liked: Nice, all codes so no interpersonal contacts whatsoever.Probably a 2.5 star in reality. They charge an “extra fee” for housekeeping service, which is a lil crazy in a 3 night stay.Room had a slightly damp feeling upon arrival, which is odd in late July.Mixed experience!

This is a pleasant place...

Liked: I liked the neighborhood vibe in the Elmwood neighborhood. There was a good list of places to find food or have it delivered. I liked having off street parking. The room was very clean.
Disliked: The hotel was more like an Airb&b. I had trouble getting the door open. I had trouble finding the hotel because there weren't any signs. While the text messaging was very good at a response, it was weird to only communicate by text. I didn't like the automatic light in the bathroom. The sink in the room was very high and I am short.
