Great location - friendly staff...

Liked: Excellent large room with high ceilings. We had a nice view out of the front of the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and could see the castle in the distance. Great to have a m wave and some cutlery & crockery, we made ourselves breakfast of porridge :-)The honesty bar was great too - with decent prices. Excellent facilities all round
Disliked: Probably just a mix up.... but we didnt need our room 'making up' during our three day visit. However... we did ask for the recycling and rubbish bins to be emptied... unfortunately that didn't happen, but it was really only a small thing

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful room with a brilliant view, overlooking Dean's Village. The staff were very accommodating and gave some good recommendations. We stayed over Easter and the staff left us a card and a chocolate egg! The bed was very comfy, the shower was great - high water pressure. It was very easy to walk into town and we had a brilliant time in Edinburgh.

Exceptional experience

Liked: Location: the hotel located within 25 minutes from the Royal Mile.Apartment: it's absolutely amazingly, bright and spacious apartment in vintage style. Staff: I would like to recognize Sandy, she went an extra miles to make my arrival as smooth as possible. The thing is that reception open hours are from 8am - 8pm, however my train arrived at 8:16pm. She left form me straight forward instructions how to get an access to my apartment.

Nice room but no temperature...

Liked: Great location, comfortable bed, clean room. The room was extremely hot even though all heating was off, we were advised to open the window to cool the room down but we had to leave it open during our whole stay for a bearable temperature including during the night even with minus temps and that was still warm enough to wear a t-shirt, we kept the bedroom door closed and the hallway and bathroom remained very hot, the only heating that was on was the towel rail.
