Pleasant stay with friendly service.
Liked: The location was convenient to the waterfront and several restaurants. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The front desk staff were great. The room price included the use of bikes and helmets to ride as long as we wanted. It was convenient to get breakfast on site.
Disliked: The shutters in our room let in lots of light at night due parking lot spot lights. The laundry was directly below us in room 218 and they bang around each morning at 6am. I'd prefer real eggs for breakfast but the meal was far above most hotels meals and the service was excellent. It's a long walk to the main part of downtown so we drove when not on our bikes.

Cozy, relaxing, spacious, and private.
Liked: The breakfast was brought to us and it was good. The place was clean enough. It’s was great to park our car right next to the casita.
Disliked: There was some black specks in the ceiling and the wall by the tub was painted sloppy. It’s was two tones. The bed was not too supportive and there were stains on the box spring. A little bit of deep clean was needed especially given the prices. The prices was high but if I had more people it would’ve been ok.

The location is convenient &...
Liked: The location is very good; the property is in a very convenient location. Most of the team is professional and the housekeeping staff are very good at their job & friendly. The room was very clean.
Disliked: While the specific room I was in was very clean, the overall furnishings and accouterments of the room are showing signs of age. Also, while I understand the building is older, so are the windows and neighborhood noise was common. The southwest facing windows/wall in the room would rattle in the morning (possibly due to a heater in the breakfast room downstairs, since the rattling would stop when breakfast was over). Also, with the breakfast room immediately below the room (210; Superior King), the dragging of chairs could be heard in the mornings. The rooms in this older building photograph very nicely, but the decor and condition of the furnishings seem dated/a bit tired (i.e., a vintage or historic property can be decorated with furnishings that align with the age of the property without appearing tired or worn). Also, an attendant at the front desk (wearing a cloak, cowboy boots and signature eyewear), was the least friendly of the staff (if still accommodating) at checkout.

Perfect for couples
Liked: Walkable to beachfront and funk zone/state street but super quiet. Breakfasts were amazing. Very friendly staff. The room with the huge balcony is awesome (220)- see view from door in picture
