Good overnight stop.

Liked: It was a nice old Inn with real character but also with modern facilities.
Disliked: No comfy seats in the bar to sit at if just having a drink. It would have been nice to have been able to have breakfast on the premises but it didn’t start until 9am which was too late for us.

The Dun Cow experience

Liked: The Dun Cow is a magnificent country pub with a great bar and a popular restaurant. Staff were brilliant and we felt so comfortable engaging with them. Food was good pub fare and the beers most appreciated.
Disliked: We should have stayed longer, it is a gem of a place.Do be careful in the bathroom as the shower is slippery. We should have taken the offer of the shower mats.

Met our needs

Liked: We have stayed here before. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the bar area is cozy and welcoming
Disliked: Our room was small - though as we were only here for one night, it wasn’t a major problem. The en-suite was a bit “tired” but OK.The hotel had shot itself in the foot by running a special discount off main meals in the restaurant but then couldn’t cope with demand so service was far from great. We have experience much better when we stayed in the past.
