Just 3 minutes' walk from Barrow town center the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel offers free Wi-Fi free parking and a traditional on-site restaurant and bar. Built in 1871 The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel features stylish rooms with super king size beds flat-screen TVs and designer private bathrooms. Rooms have been individually decorated and many have stand-alone baths and designer fittings. The Duke's Bar and Grill offers over 100 bottled beers and serves traditional pub meals made from locally-sourced produce. The bar also serves a selection of beers from its own brewery. The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel is just 5 minutes' walk from Barrow-in-Furness Rail Station. The Isle of Walney Furness Golf Club and the coast are just over a mile away. Windermere can be reached in under an hour by car. We have now upgraded our breakfast offer with a new menu and service times extended to 10.30am every day.

Lovely Hotel, Staff were very...

Liked: Evening meal was lovely, bed was amazingly comfy & the bathroom was spotless added bonus of a big bath & power shower
Disliked: Nothing at all everything was to standard

Duke of Edinburgh hotel

Liked: Lovely hotel you could tell they were under staffed breakfast first morning was not impressed got lied to by the lady who was taking the orders said they didn't serve latte but minutes later saw people drinking latte she was just that run off her feet didn't have time to do it but if she had said give me 10 minutes and I will get you one that wouldn't of been a problem she kept telling people I'm on my own which is awful for her even one lady who was a customer there helped clear the tables more staff needed on a morning
Disliked: The bar area was nice good atmosphere and George the young lad who served us drinks and also checked us out at the end of our stay was lovely really pleasant and friendly

Liked: Location for me is perfect, I've got season tickets for both barrow RLFC and AFC, most of the time I travel by train, which, as you know is across the road, as I said, perfect

Brilliant place to stay for...

Liked: Super spacious room which was very well decorated and the bed was comfy , lovely and clean room and the staff were super
Disliked: No mini fridge in the room
