Liked: An old hotel with plenty of character but very comfortable. Staff all helped to make our stay special (it was our 43rd wedding anniversary) even leaving a bottle of prosecco in our room. Food and service were excellent. Montgomery is a lovely old market town that is pretty central to plenty of places to visit
Disliked: Lots of flies and wasps about but not the fault of the hotel. It is an agricultural area after all!!

Liked: Position and appearance lovely. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The bed in our room was not very comfortable-it was a dog-friendly double but quite small. The general standard of the interior could do with some updating.

DISSAPOINTED

Liked: ROOMS WEREN'T TOO BAD, SHOWER WAS ALL MOULDY AND SMELT OF STAGNANT WATER. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. FOOD WASN'T THAT GOOD AT NIGHT AND BREAKFAST (BACON DIDN'T HAVE ANY TASTE) AND LOTS OF FLIES AROUND THE CONTINENTAL FOOD AND IN THE BREAD STORE.TEA AND COFFEE IN THE ROOM, FAN, HAIRDRYER, WATER.
Disliked: CLEANER SHOWER AREA, SORT THE FLIES OUT SO THAT THEY DON'T GET ON THE FOOD.

Liked: The staff are delightful, the rooms are very comfortable and the food is wonderful!
Disliked: The charm and history have been preserved.

Disliked: Understandably, the place is old, but the bedrooms need to be updated. The cleaning staff to be better trained as our room was left with blankets and pillows on the floor & bed unmade after the so-called room service !!
