excellent venue to meet with...
Liked: Menu for evening meal was good as was breakfast. Stayed during very hot weather - had a corner room with two windows which was helpful for cooling the room. A fan was also provided but we didn't need it.

Convenient Overnight Stay
Liked: A lovely large room, with double aspect windows.Friendly helpful staffReasonably priced food in the evening
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable, it really needed a memory foam topper if the mattress was not going to be replaced as I could feel the springs. We managed to lock ourselves in the room, it is a key lock. Luckily there is a contact number in the paperwork in the room and as breakfast was being served and staff were onsite, someone came up and managed to let us out. It was a faulty lock, hopefully this has been fixed now. I can't remember the room number. As a result we were late down to breakfast and it seemed a bit overcooked, I'll give the benefit of the doubt of the chef wanting to go off shift.

a good place to stop...
Liked: Bedroom well appointed, with good over the bath shower, including safety handles and surface - an item often missed in otherwise good hotels, Enough space, bed comfortable. Very quiet location in the countryside with a walk up a track behind the hotel for a quick stroll. Breakfast good with enough fresh fruit, and kippers well served.
Disliked: The food at dinner was disappointing. my vegetable curry had cabbage, carrots & peas in a barely curried sauce, looking and tasting like the leftovers from lunch; a good vegetable curry is made with a completely different range of vegetables which the chef should have bought in to make an interesting and tempting dish. I asked for just couple of scoops of ice cream for dessert, expecting just that - two scoops with good chocolate or fruit flavour, and perhaps the tiny chips of ice of a really high quality ice cold ice cream. I got a HUGE squish of barely cold Mr Whippy - very 1970s. It is used to make a range of the Inn's desserts but we noticed that a number of people round us left a large proportion of their ice cream - this is not what diners expect these days, when ice cream quality and variety is so much better.

Classic friendly country Inn.
Liked: A classic country Inn in a beautiful location. We liked the friendliness of all the staff. Excellent food and value for money. We had a carvery evening meal and a freshly cooked full English breakfast. Ideal for visiting attractions in this area, including the Severn Valley Railway.A classic country Inn
Disliked: Can't think of anything. It's a wonderful place to stay. For some people it's a little remote (a few miles from Bridgnorth) but that's what we wanted.
