Liked: The location was very quiet and the grounds were nice.
Disliked: Even though we booked over a year in advance we were put in a room that had been adapted for disabled use. Therefore the sink in the bathroom was far too low and not comfortable to use, the adapted shower also was not nice to use with fitments for disabled use being in the way. The room was far too warm to sleep in comfortably with no air conditioning. Breakfast was average at best. It must take a lot of effort to hard boil the yolk of a poached egg whilst leaving the white uncooked, I went for scrambled on the second day and they were watery. however the bacon was lovely.

Liked: The grounds are very pretty, and it’s useful to have a lift.
Disliked: Some of the furniture and furnishings are dated and tired. It was incredibly hot and we were unable to open the undoes more than an inch or two. Inexplicably, there was a camp bed at the foot of our bed, which we neither wanted nor requested. When we arrived and tried book a table for dinner we were told there was no food, as there was a wedding taking place. Not great when you’ve been working for 12 hours and booked a hotel specifically because it has a restaurant. We won’t be back.
