Liked: The location is convenient for local attractions. Bar and restaurant are excellent with friendly staff.
Disliked: We would expect a fixed shower in a superior room and a loo seat that stayed in place!!

Very relaxing, clean and peaceful

Liked: The room was very clean with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge with a good shower, plenty of towels and dressing gowns. The views from the window were gorgeous and the breakfast was really really good.

Horrible. The scent of all...

Liked: It was absolutely the worst pub accommodation probably we have ever stayed in. That is because the bedding, and perhaps other items in the bedroom, had a detergent scent which was absolutely hideous. We had to put all of our luggage in the bathroom and shut the door. Our nightware stunk so much in the morning that we carried it out in a bag to our vehicle. For the balance of our holiday, we had to sleep in undergarments as opposed to sleepwear because our sleepwear was so possessed of a horrible scent. How any hotel, pub or other accommodation, cannot find it imperative to use scentless products is beyond us. Perhaps the laundress loves that scent. However, the laundress might not like other scents. Having this in mind, the laundress should only use scentless items, in short, the room could’ve been nice, but it was horrible. We could hardly crawl into the bed because of the smell in the bedding and on the pillows. And it was the best room in the place!! Imagine. This place is owned by a Lord or some other such entitled person. He and his spouse ought to sleep in that room some night. Then let me know what they thought about it.
