Liked: This is a beautifully designed hotel featuring very modernly furnished rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the great balcony that overlooked the lake. The indoor pool was a lovely amenity, although a touch cool for spring swimming. The outdoor jacuzzi, however, was excellent. Breakfast was a definite highlight, offering a wide and impressive variety of both cold and hot dishes, including some interesting special menu items. We also had a great dinner experience at the Saltz restaurant. A special mention must go to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful in securing tickets for the chocolate museum tour for us, even after we found it fully booked online.
Disliked: The only downside to this otherwise exceptional hotel is that it is on the pricier side.

Worth every penny.

Liked: The Dolder Grand isn't a 5 star hotel. In fact, I'm not sure it's a hotel at all. It's more of an experience.It's clearly not 5 stars when you compare it to many other 5 star hotels. It's 6 or even 7.Dolder Grand team goes above and beyond in making every guest feel special. We enjoyed our stay at TDG immensely and are definitely coming back.
Disliked: Pillows clearly can be more comfortable, we struggled with them.Somehow when you ask room service for a bowl of grapes it can cost EUR50, hence if it's important to you make sure you know the price before making custom requests. The upside is that they will execute your request with perfection.

Stuffy and overpriced

Liked: Not worthy the price we paid. The food was so expensive. We also booked this hotel for the indoor pool and our 9 year old couldn’t use the pool because it’s part of the spa and you had to be 12 to use that area. That ruined the experience for us.

Liked: First class hotel with amazing facilities and a unique location offering stunning views over the city, the lake and the Swiss alps. Yummy and innovative breakfast buffet.

Liked: The Superior Suite continues to be our favourite room in Zurich. It's hard to beat two fireplaces!

Not up to scratch

Disliked: Recently they have not met the very high standards they previously did. Food not as good as normal, service a bit sloppy, a few corners cut here and there.
