Built in 1602 The Dog & Bear Hotel in Lenham offers cozy log fires a courtyard terrace and cooked breakfasts. With free parking Maidstone is a 20-minute drive away. The cozy bedrooms at Dog and Bear were visited by Queen Anne in 1704 and feature a private bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. We had a comfortable, one...

Liked: The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful Building had loads of character Food was really nice
Disliked: Our room backed into garden area so was overlooked and the windows didn’t shut properly or open very wide for fresh air. Very early morning was woken up by a lot of noise from above us. Hair dryer lead was coiled so didn’t allow us to dry our hair properly Lack of power plugs convenient to charge phone near bed at night

Disliked: Double bed. Prefer king size. Adequate but not great shower. Dated decor.

A great stop over on...

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff. Lovely village in which to enjoy the summer sun. Really accommodating of our digs.
Disliked: Shower was a little underpowered!
