Liked: They cancelled last minute and didn't remove the booking.We had an experience booked at the venue so they could have at least acknowledged the inconvenience with a little drink or something. Especially as it was for a 40th birthday celebration.

Liked: Location right at the heart of Portabello, and friendliness of some staff. Bar downstairs looked nice and was busy, but we didn't stay to try it!
Disliked: Booked cosy room (room 3). Room was dirty, and you were immediately hit with the smell of drains! Double bed must be the smallest double bed available, with stains on the sheet. Paint work was like a patchwork quilt with dirty hand prints to the white paint. Wooden floor felt sticky to the extent we didn't want to take our shoes off. The bathroom floor may well have been clean but didn't look it, as others have mentioned the bathroom sink must have been bought from the same shop as the 'double' bed and it was safe to say this is where the drainage smell was coming from.We decided this wasn't worth the £154 per night which unfortunately I paid on arrival. Eventually spoke to the hotel manager explaining the above and requested a refund which he willingly gave. Unfortunately after 5 days the refund hadn't arrived. Turned out the refund had failed, but it took me to contact them to find that out! Money is now back in my account.
