Good central hotel - beautiful...

Liked: The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and a short walk into Keswick
Disliked: Would have liked room cleaned daily and good to have had food available before 6pm

Pleasant

Liked: Location wonderful - walked down to the Lake and just a short hop into Keswick town.
Disliked: Hotel decor and rooms were very dated, staff pleasant and tried to be helpful but not experienced enough to deal with anything out of the ordinary. Couldn't get out bikes out of the garage store when we wanted to leave etc.Evening meal was substandard - fish chowder sounded great but had tasteless cubes of fish in it and sauce wasn't much more flavoursome either.

Tired unappealing dissapointing stay.

Liked: The grounds were beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Pool table in the bar area.
Disliked: Tired and dated hotel. Rooms very unappealing. Looks like they hadn't been updated since the 80s. Very basic. Even the dog was freaked out and dint sleep. We paid for breakfast but didnt have any due to wanting to leave. Should and would be a beautiful hotel if money was spent on it.. Definately wouldn't return.

Great place to stay

Liked: Location was great and we didn’t use the car all week. 12-15 minute walk to Keswick across a path ( which may not work in winter ). The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of parking. Very quiet. The flat had most things that were needed and was very clean and comfortable. We asked for an extra 45mins on the check out time which was happily accommodated.
Disliked: The decor was a little shabby and a couple of useful items like a small veg knife and scissors would have been helpful but I am sure they would have been supplied if we had asked

Very good

Liked: Staff were helpful and pleasant, the layout in the apartment was good
Disliked: The hotel is undergoing a changeover, so some of the shortfalls are understandable, i.e.,decor is tired, and furnishings are in need of an update i
