Lovely staff and idyllic surroundings

Liked: Room 208 has the most amazing view of the lake and Borrowdale Fells. The very best thing is the staff: they are all (all) absolutely wonderful! Lakeside location: idyllic.
Disliked: The evening meal. Out of the freezer into the oven onto the table. Menu descriptions wrong (pie, wild mushrooms). Meagre portion of sorbet. It all just needs a bit of imagination; I know you're on a tight budget but you could still make good gravy!

Perfect location and good value...

Liked: So it’s a bit shabby in places, our room looked like it had had a quick patch up with a fresh coat of paint, the bathroom is in need of re grouting and sealant and it’s very old fashioned But bedding was clean and very comfortable Lovely gardens and short walk from town centre Brilliant value for money would definitely stay here again

Great

Liked: Helpful staffGreat location
Disliked: Room 111. Bathroom radiator was red hot and made the bedroom so hot it was uncomfortable and unable to turn it off as no thermostat. It was a hot weekend. So this was really uncomfortable
