Liked: Great location, lovely hotel, great decor. Loved the pool, the rooftop bar. All very stylish. It’s our second time there.
Disliked: Some of the staff (not all) were very arrogant and/grumpy which is a huge pity and totally unnecessary. Pity, especially as they try to sell the ‘Dublin touch’.

Very poor

Liked: The hotel was very run down , and not very clean
Disliked: The room we stayed in was right beside a night club which was very noisy- the hotel itself seemed quite run down and dark

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: The coffee machine and the record player , even though there was no place where you could get other records. The bar staff asked if there was an area where you could pick other vinyls and they had no idea what we were talking about
Disliked: The shower hose in our bathroom was broken. The main lights were flickering which meant we couldn't turn them on and there was a big yellow lamp that wouldn't work either so the lighting was very bad. The elevators had a very long wait time and often just went up and down from the ground floor to the 5th floor for 5 minutes trying to get to the basement and no stairs down to the sauna & pool. There seemed to be too many people in the small pool even though you have to book a slot, the pool was quite small and you were confined to one area because the overcrowd of people. The jets also did not work for the pool. The staff weren't too friendly they seemed abit fed up when asking questions about the jets and the elevator like it was an inconvenience to them. Sophies rooftop bar was so dirty, the ground look liked it needed a good sweep and mop, the table we were sat at had ashes all over it and the server never wiped it down when collecting glasses from the previous people And left pieces of fruit from the other customers on the table the whole time we were sat there. We were advised we could ring reception 24/7 for any assistance and when we rang the calls were rarely answered.

The Dean was overall a...

Liked: Staff were very helpfulRoom décor was lovelyBalcony was a nice additionBeautiful big bed and was very comfortableDrinking water (in tetrapacs) and toiletries provided (including hair conditioner)Heated radiator for towels. Facecloths also provided.Late check-out of 12 noon as standard
Disliked: The door into the bathroom was broken (had came off the runner) and even when fixed, didn't close properly and just rolled open again. No lock on bathroom door.Whilst balcony was a nice addition, it was beside and overlooked a building site.No mugs were provided for tea/coffee, just two paper cups holding the teabags and sachets that we had to empty and clean before use. The cups didn't fit properly in the espresso machine. Proper mugs and cutlery would have been much nicer and more sustainable than disposable cups and spoons..We didn't get to experience the rooftop restaurant as it was fully booked..
