The D Hotel, comfortable rooms...

Liked: The location is great, if you like the Fremont St experience which I really do.Security seems adequate considering how crowded the hotel gets.
Disliked: The property has that run down feel.Too crowded for me. The staff could be abrupt and seem burnt out.The D attracts a heavy drinking crowd and some unsavory people too. Probably not the most family friendly. Try the Plaza hotel if you have young children.

Great stay at The D...

Liked: Large rooms that were clean. Best location!
Disliked: Because you are centrally located, it gets very loud at night even from the 28th floor. The noise did calm down around 2am. Bring ear plugs if you have an issue sleeping with a little noise. We slept fine, though. Otherwise, everything was great!

Terrible experience for a Vegas...

Liked: Very little that I could say that I like about the hotel I don’t know if motel 8 might have been better, for the insane amount of “resort fees “ they charge, this has not a resort feel or atmosphere, they should stop charging this fee, but they won’t because it’s a way to scam you. Don’t get me wrong I understand “resort fees” when staying at a resort such as the MGM OR CESAR PALACE this “hotel” is neither.
Disliked: Where to start:1- I don’t know if I could blame the staff, but I’ll blame management and owners for this crappie “casino”. The staff did what they could when I asked, but I don’t feel that I should have to ask. For example;2-The hotel is old and smells. I believe to be the old carpet and is not cleaned regularly. 3-the bathroom design is wrong, meaning; the shower has one piece of glass half way, ok, why cut out a hole on the shower side where water leaks out and crates a puddle of water all over the floor, not to mention the shower head was not suitable for this design as it sprayed water beyond the halfway shower glass creating a mess, you use the towel mat to be able to step out of the shower, but it will be soaked with all the water sprayed out of the shower, you need to replace with sliding or hinged shower doors.4-I stayed at a double queen bed room for three nights, the second day house keeping did not clean our room, when we got back later in the evening, I called the house keeping number only to be told “I don’t know what went wrong, but there was no one available to clean the room at that time and there was nothing we can do” but they did offer to send us clean towels (we used the used ones to soak the water from the floor in the bathroom). Again management, did not check if the work was done by house keeping and if no one is available then roll up the sleeves and get someone to help or do it yourself. But that’s wasn’t going to happen with this management staff. The next day I called and specifically asked to make sure my room gets clean, which they did, but again I should have to ask. I wished I had taken photos, but I was so disappointed and upset that they were not worth the memory space in my iPhone.Needless to say I will never be staying in this “hotel/ resort”. I would probably take my chances at motel 8. No offense to motel 8 chains and staff.

Good place to crash, don’t...

Liked: Close to all the action
Disliked: Finding an ice machine that worked took a drunken adventure of going to every floor until I found one that worked. (Went up 5 floors before someone told me the floor below where I was staying had one)
