Adequate stay for the money.
Liked: Great location, happy hour at the bar was great too.
Disliked: Breakfast. Food was cold, pastries were rock hard and took ages for the staff to bring us tea/coffee. Our room was above the staff smoking hut and even with the windows shut you could hear them and smell the smoke.

Disliked: 0nly 1 office type chair in a double room. Occasional talking and smoking by staff below the window of room 202

Very good
Liked: Loved the ambiance of a country house hotel. Very pleased I requested a quiet room which overlooked the garden at the rear of the hotel. That was perfect for me.
Disliked: It's not the hotel's fault but the sheer amount of traffic passing thro the village close to the hotel . I had asked for a quiet room and thankfully I had that.for my stay.

A pleasant stay in the...
Liked: Property is in a great location right in the centre of Lyndhurst and opposite a beautiful church and close to lots of amenities. The rooms are nice and clean and great to come back to after a long walk. Dinner options were overall really nice. One of our group returned her main as it was overcooked and the staff were very apologetic and gave us free desserts instead. Breakfast was also nice and consisted of fairly standard b&b options (cooked English, cereals and bread). Overall this is a great base if you’re looking to explore Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst and the staff were all lovely and helpful.
Disliked: Pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable. Also if you’re a light sleeper be warned that the walls are paper thin - we could hear our neighbours sneezing. Make sure you book your dinner time ahead of your visit as the dining area is very small and we ended up having to go down for dinner at 6pm (this didn’t bother us as we were starving after our walk but could be an issue for others). It would’ve been nice to have some more vegetarian cooked options at breakfast.
