Reopened in July 2009 after a dramatic facelift this stylish inn features contemporary boutique-style rooms free Wi-Fi a lavish bar and a 2 AA Rosette award-winning restaurant. Behind its beautiful original 17th-century town-house façade the Crown is a thoroughly 21st-century inn. Stylish and modern the rooms with attached bathroom have been individually decorated by award-winning interior designers Bentheim of Chelsea. Each room has a plasma flat-screen TV with Sky satellite channels and a DVD player. The beds boast plump goose-down pillows luxurious mattresses crisp cotton bed linen and Italian lighting. The bathrooms have under-floor heating and French organic toiletries. The restaurant offers superb award-winning cuisine made with the finest freshest seasonal produce available locally. The Crown is located in the heart of Woodbridge in East Suffolk. Friendly, great location, smart and...

Liked: Nice room, very quiet, freshly decorated.Warm welcome, decent location.Excellent dinner - the menu is normal fare but it's well done. The Moules Frites was far better than most I have had in France this year.

Relaxing, comfortable and in a...

Liked: The staff were very professional and friendly. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the meal was great and good value.
Disliked: The only comment I would make for improvement is the bath was quite high so a grab rail for getting in to use the shower would be good. Also I had to get into the bath to turn the shower on as I couldn’t reach the taps behind the screen
