Beautiful Hotel

Liked: Our whole experience of the hotel was brilliant. Breakfast was freshly made to order lots of choice on the buffet. Dining in the hotel was equally as good. Highly recommend we will return.

Almost excellent, just a couple...

Liked: Big, comfortable room, big bathroom with tub. Great toiletries (can be purchased if desired). Like the 'green tag' for the door, which gets you a bag of tea things, biscuits etc without having a room clean. Spa facilities very good with good opening times. Very secure car park. Good selection of breakfast items
Disliked: Some things are a bit pretentious, lumps of sugar for the breakfast tea but no tongues (who's had their fingers in the bowl before you?), silly salt grinder so you need 2 hands to put salt on your food. Didn't like the plates which looked like dog's water bowls. More care needed with hot food, ordered 2 poached eggs and only 1 arrived, which then made the toast soggy becasue it wasn't drained properly. My wife didn't get her bacon crispy despite 2 requests. Huge tea pot but only one tea bag, we started requesting two bags. Bar prices are too expensive, £8.10p for a medium glass of Merlot! Luckily there is a very reasonably priced social club next door, that welcomes non-members

Liked: Beautiful decor and a traditional building. Nice furniture and furnishings.
Disliked: Our bathroom was in need of updating it wasn’t particularly easy to use although it was clean.

Liked: The bar staff and restaurant staff are fantastic, the reception staff could not be more accommodating.
Disliked: Drinks are a little on the high side but the club next door makes up for it
