A great place to stay

The location of the hotel...
Liked: I liked the bedroom decor and the food was very good.
Disliked: In Room 82 (Family Room) the bathroom was not up to standard. I spoke to the General Manager who was very professional and helpful and I was refunded an amount. I had asked for a quiet room, but we were situated above a unit which powered we believe, the swimming pool air conditioning. Again, the General Manager arranged for this to be switched off at 8pm so we had a quiet night. Other staff were also very accommodating and friendly.

Great place, highly recommend!
Liked: The staff, food, facilities. - great! Nice touch that the radio was left on in room and little note to welcome us. Really enjoyed the stay!

We had a perfectly nice...
Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful, decor was lovely and faciities were very good. Shower didn't leak, which was nice, although it came at the expense of an over-bath shower with no hand grips. The rubber bath mat, though, was a very welcome addition. Although we didn't eat there on this occasion, we did stop in for coffee and scones a coulpe of months ago and the experience was excellent. Finally, it was a lovely surprise to discover Old Mout Cherries & Berries cider on tap!
Disliked: Room was small and bed was really not very comfortable, especially after we had spent the previous couple of weeks in a premier inn! The toilet seat was a very cheap, flimsy affair which moved around. Due to the age of the building there is no lift available but, overall, there doesn't appear to have been much consideration given to accessibility.
