The Crossroads Hotel - Newburgh

Very good

Liked: I think this is a newly reopened hotel and they are in the process of gearing up to full operation. No food service except for some boxed or canned items at the front desk. No pool or bar functioning but that may be coming soon. The rooms and hallways look newly redone, the beds were comfortable, etc. Price was very reasonable so the lack of amenities was acceptable to us.

Liked: The hallways and room smelled like marijuana. Big issue with my wife. Staff was very pleasant. Curtain rod in the shower was pulled 1/2 off the wall. The in room phone didn’t work. The bathroom door hit the ceiling light and got jammed. Lots of paint work needed. Beds were comfortable. If I were still in college I would say it was great. I’m 68 now and it was slightly below average. My wife said she would not stay there again because of the smells. Staff was pleasant and gave me coffee in the morning. So mixed bag I guess. Just straight forward observations.

Liked: Room size and the bed is comfortable. STAFF was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: This is the second room in which the tub stopper didn't work so I couldn't take a bath.It was an issue for me as I needed to relax after a hard day. Also bathroom is very tight.

Great for a restful respite...

Liked: The staff aWas was friendly and accommodating as I asked to check in a little bit early because I wasn't feeling well. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable bathroom a little bit small but serviceable.
Disliked: Would really like if they would return a restaurant or some eatery on the establishment as doordash or grubhub can be a little expensive.
