Pleasant

Liked: The breakfast was good, I liked the coffee.
Disliked: The lift wasn't working and our room was on the top floor! My husband has a new knee and couldn't carry our luggage. I had a strained shoulder from a gym injury. The receptionist, Sam, changed our room to a ground floor. That was very kind. We felt there should be a kettle in each room or at least a kettle in the common lounge room. The urn they had in the lounge did not keep the water hot. We didn't have towels for the night or whole day. We kept asking but they weren't ready...The hotel is in a good location and our room was very quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable. Just a few things need attending to.

Do not book this out....

Liked: Ripped carpets no phone, USB connection just standard plugs breakfast was a joke, toast, cornflakes, jam, ham and cheese slices booking.com I’m ashamed with them because this is the second hotel they gave me what is crap, but it seems I never go a look at any of these properties well overpriced and the self said they’re closing down in two months to refurbish it. We had a bed underneath the sheets were two singles, so you rolled into the middle where the table in the room with the glass slid off very dangerous up the curtains couldn’t tell you what was on it blood or food stains tripping over rips and carpet everywhere throughout the hotel wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. Maybe when it’s done up who knows still using old-fashioned keys to open doors and look it needs an overhaul a restaurant, proper breakfast a bar, maybe be able to come a bit more popular and the price to come down and we cope the price of doing up the place very disappointed one of the worst hotels ever stayed at and only two hotels I’ve ever stayed in worse both though booking.com
Disliked: Breakfast was a joke. Hot water Jim Work properly. Had to have a cold shower for when out in the evening. No kettle, no tea, silly or coffee had to go down to the reception where there was a lot of flask option. Terrible should’ve took pictures but really couldn’t be bothered because the place was decapitated clean couldn’t really fault that but painted walls were done just to make you look good and terrible painting. Air-conditioning didn’t work properly. I meant when they do this property up. I hope they take a lot of things into Cass situation because it needs a proper work they said they can they can do it in three months you need about six months it’s a big building they underestimate what they’ve Gotta do I reckon so

Personally I wouldn’t go again.

Liked: The decoration and style is nice but some rooms really need some work done regarding the damp.Location is brilliant.
Disliked: Basement rooms should not be used. We were given one and I asked for another room as it was not good enough, visible damp on the walls. No bed covers, light fittings broken and bed side lamps not working. Main lights half working in one part of the room. Our new room was renovated and much better and healthier. No sign of damp. This was on the 1st floor. We continued to stay in the hotel due to the new room.Breakfast is very basic, do not rely on this unless you have no other options. They were slow to get it ready. It was Plastic cutlery and it run out, there was a 4 piece toaster half worked. Disorganised and very limited, all cold food.Fish in the fish tank in the seating area looked dead and it was sad to see the tank in a poor state. Fish wasn’t dead as it did eventually move.Reception is a desk in the hallway. Weird set up.I would personally avoid this place again, however they appear to be making some renovations as the new room was much better. But I cannot look past easy things to fix, such as organisation, cutlery and a new toaster.I wish the owners all the best as the place has potential but they need to do something quick as I felt it was at risk of being shut down if not.3 stars given due to new room and effort in this department.

Great Location but "Hotel" room...

Liked: Lovely locationThe bed in the room was big.The Coffee at breakfast was nice.
Disliked: Very rude person on reception at check in. Had to pay £50 deposit for some reason? The room was filthy! Bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a long while. Shower did not work properly. Bedside lamp broken. Mould growing on walls in bedroom. Mattress protector very badly stained. Carpet in Bedroom very dirty. This is supposed to be a 4 Star Hotel!!!

Severely lower your expectations from...

Liked: We were able to have a good sleep, though we were drunk. I think the bed was comfy. Nice view of London from the window
Disliked: The man on front desk was a bit grumpy, £50 key deposits, room didn't look like the one advertised, no queen size bed as advertised just 2 singles pushed together, ac didn't work - room was hotter than hell and slept with window wide open all night, phone didn't work, dirty and tired decor, bath stained, not very welcoming over all, breakfast is just hot drink, juice and toast, no mini bar as advertised, cupboard doors didn't close, having to manhandle the TV out of a cupboard, and finally HAD A RANDOM CRUSTY OLD JELLY SWEET OF SOME DESCRIPTION SHOVED IN THE PEEPHOLE???
