Except for shower, was what...

Liked: Room was comfortable. Wasn't expecting twin beds, thought it would be a double, but no harm done. Probably got a better night's sleep anyway.
Disliked: Shower was a bit cramped and shower head was static which I would have preferred to be flexible. It meant you couldn't get away from the spray if you didn't want to wash you hair. My husband wasn't very impressed with the cooked breakfast.

Welcoming, homely stay, very convenient...

Liked: Really liked that staff were flexible with our evening meal booking (we were running late), putting us in three adjacent rooms, were always available to answer questions. Location is fantastic for the P&J Live venue. Rooms with twin beds rather than double was also very handy for our group. Also, reception staff looked out for a parcel which was being delivered to the hotel, and held the parcel safely for us. Breakfast was great, as was the evening meal. Overall a comfortable, homely family feel to the hotel, all staff courteous and friendly.
Disliked: The rooms are clearly being refreshed/modernised. The mattresses were a bit variable, could do with a refresh in some instances. Not a problem for us.

Liked: The staff and their service were exceptionally good.The breakfast was delicious, they were so accomodating, again, with my food intolerence and preferences and it was quick to arrive.
Disliked: The room I was initially put in, was right beside the door at the top of the stairs.The constant footfall, noise of the door and subsequent shuddering on the wall was too loud for me to sleep. (Wish I could wear ear plugs)However, I asked if it was possible to be moved.The receptionist was so kind and understanding, the new room was quiet and I had a good nights sleep.

Liked: Breakfast was amazing. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant
Disliked: Room was quite small. Bed was small and pillows not great. Our room had an offensive smell.Very noisey with planes flying overhead due to close proximity of airport
