Value for your money but...

Liked: The bed was cozy and was good for sleeping in, but the room was a bit messy with long term stay guests (note that most of the guests I met were staying long term and their belongings were everywhere in the room). The owner arranged a self check in when I arrived, which was great. The location of hostel is very central, which was great. Was able to walk to most of the sites in Darwin. The AC in the room was working great. The room was nice and cool.
Disliked: The cleanliness could be better, especially toilets and shower rooms were quite dirty even after cleaning. Not the best place to stay if you are super sensitive about hygiene. Some guests were smoking weed at the common area, which I did not like. It seems that there is no reception at the hostel, this was not too problematic cuz the owner kept communicating through messages. But I was unable to locate 'duty manager' of the hostel at all. +) there is no swimming pool in the hostel, I think it is better to replace the backyard photo on booking.com as it can be a bit misleading.
