Liked: The room setup was good and we appreciated the tea/coffee options available. A spacious area with a mix of old and new features (ceiling beams mixed with a modern flatscreen TV)
Disliked: Whilst the attraction is meant as a old historic house, the creakiness of doors, furniture and flooring frightened my wife a little! There was also a distinct smell although this could be due to the age of the furniture. It is obviously a very traditional setup in that each guests get a set of housekeys to enter the front door, but there was an occasion where the porch door was locked from the inside which meant we were waiting to get back to our room till the hotel owner came out. There were also a period in the daytime where we rang the reception bell for help and no-one was around.
