Perfect one night stay in...

Liked: The welcome was friendly on arrival and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our one night stay and was just as expected. The evening meal was excellent, the menu plus the specials board had a good range of options. The included breakfast was excellent we were given the option of anything we wanted for the cooked breakfast, plus there was cereals available.
Disliked: Nothing to say.

Excellent inn with really good...

Liked: Very friendly, efficient, nice room, good food (both dinner and breakfast), happy to store a bottle in their fridge for us, heating did go on in the morning which started cool (an unreliable summer). Happy to take us for one night on a summer weekend, when others would not.
Disliked: Room was just a little cold after supper at night (weather unusually cool for summer).

Liked: The location, the breakfast and the lovely friendly staff are perfect for me to stop here when i am working locally. I evening meals are just as good and the rooms are ideal for a short stay.

Liked: Very clean. Excellent breakfast.Great location for visiting Beth Chattos garden and the city of Colchester.
Disliked: Outside patio. Would like some sort of screening from the car park. Also colour of restaurant looks a little dated.

Liked: Love the Courthouse, it has a great restaurant, all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. This place is ideal for me to stay when i work locally.

Disliked: Heavier curtains in summer or blinds would be better as the sun rises early and the room is very bright from 5 am. And a fan in the room would be great in summer.
