I really loved the atmosphere!...

Liked: The room was super spacious, the bed comfortable and the room was laid out well. I really liked the bathroom, too.
Disliked: Our room was directly below the breakfast room and we could hear people walking around and furniture moving early in the morning. It didn't really bother us, but I could see guests who wanted to sleep in not liking that. We were in 8005. Also, the breakfast area tables were not cleaned/wiped regularly as guests left.

Our expectations were not met;...

Liked: Staff were friendly.Location was convenient.
Disliked: Breakfast was horrible.Many amenities in the room were broken or in poor condition, i.e. the air conditioning and the shower.

If I return to Thunder...

Liked: The location and proximity to the waterfront area.
Disliked: Courthouse is billed as a hotel, but lacks the comfort of a hotel, offering merely B&B. No lounge, no restaurant, no bar, no flowers to soften the surroundings. Staff on duty were helpful. An austere building which made me feel I was still being held for trial. It seemed to still serve the purpose of the original courthouse and although the rooms were large and beds comfortable, there was little else to recommend a future stay.

Liked: The fact that it was an old courthouse is cute. Doesn’t excuse why the renovation to a hotel hasn’t taken place. The rooms were nice and comfortable.
Disliked: Felt like an institution, bed laundry left in corridors, no reception, front door not working, did not feel like a hotel. Breakfast was brutal, would be better to offer nothing.

A wonderfully unique and beautiful...

Liked: Beautifully renovated and appointed! Very comfortable and attractive accommodation. We found the details and links to the building’s former use to be delightfully highlighted!
