Very good

Good

Liked: Room was clean, beds comfortable. Well appointed, hair dryer, curling tongs, etc. Well stocked tea/coffee bar. Plenty of hot water. Great breakfast.
Disliked: Self check in, just awful. Front door has key pad but the whereabouts is not obvious, very sensitive, and so took a few attempts to get in. 15 mins to gain entry after a night out! Key code had changed, and we hadn't been informed. Several phone calls later, we were given a new code. Dampened the night. Other guests had same problem. Real shame.

The hotel frontage is not...

Liked: The bedroom was clean , comfy bed
Disliked: The keypad entry to hotel was a problem as the code got changed mid visit

Pleasant

Liked: Value for money was good, location good.
Disliked: Cobwebs hanging from ceiling and smell of damp in the bathroom.

Nice little hotel.

Liked: Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Good location in the centre of town. Parking was good.
Disliked: The electronic locks were tricky at first. It also wasn't clear which was the entry lock. There was no information on what time breakfast was served.

Superb

Liked: Staff where very helpful. Room was very comfortable and really good dining. Food was excellent and really good value for money.

Great place to stay.

Liked: Well located for getting to Edinburgh. Selkirk is a lovely town. Staff friendly and helpful. They helped us retrieve a bag we’d inadvertent behind. Room lovely. Great price. Parking around the back of hotel.
Disliked: Nothing really. All good.

Disliked: A little noisy with road traffic.
