Superb

Liked: Brilliant location. Beautiful grounds to relax in. Relaxed atmosphere
Disliked: On check in it would have been good to be told about service arrangements, which are very guest led. This is a nice thing but we missed the notice in our room so didn't quite work out what was going on. Just a verbal explanation on arrival would help.

Exceptional

Liked: The location was lovely between the Thames and Abbey gardens.Breakfast was perfect. Cooked breakfast plus fruit yoghurt cereals and pastries. Great gastro pub nearby called the Nags Head.
Disliked: Nothing.

Good location

Liked: Great location & lovely grounds.Easy walk into Abingdon.
Disliked: Short staffing Saturday evening meant they were unable to provide dinner. Parking was limited.

Quirky, but I would stay...

Liked: Location. Parking, excellent food although a small menu. Limited wine. Excellent local beer Eggs for breakfast? Only very nice scrambled available. Best fresh bacon and delightful bangers. No toast rack but very nicely done all over. Marmite available
Disliked: Up and down. No lift. Must ask for an easy access room in future.
