good for a night but...

Liked: It was easy to find
Disliked: I was there with my 15yo daughter. Due to delayed flights we arrived late after reception had closed. Staff were great and gave us code to lock box to get key, but we just didn’t feel safe walking along the long narrow hallways to the other end of the building to our room. There were some dodgy looking men leering at us as we walked to the room and the door lock seemed a little flimsy. The clock tower bells went off on the hour every hour through the night too

Great place for an overnight...

Liked: Great price, very friendly & helpful staff at reception. Check in was seemless. Room was large & bright with plenty of space. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Room took a quite while to cool down as it was a hot day & the temp was locked at 23deg. Would have been nice to be able to cool room faster but no big deal, really. The other guests in the building were quite noisy for a period of time late into the evening outside in the corridor.

Location good but won’t be...

Liked: The location of the hotel was very good. Good to be able to park free of charge.
Disliked: The hotel looks great from the outside but once inside it is very dated. There is no lift for guests, only an old luggage lift, so not suitable for disabled people at all. I struggled with the stairs as my knees are painful at the moment. My room had a dirty carpet which is well overdue for replacement and the two sash windows didn’t have locks - one had no lock and the other had been painted over so wouldn’t move. Both windows opened ok, but not good for security. The TV was very small and old - I could not use my Fire Stick as there was only a SCART connection. The bathroom could do with updating but the water pressure in the shower was good. Was not happy to discover most of the hotel has been let to fruit pickers or meat factory workers from overseas, all on four year contracts. Apparently nine rooms are for tourists. The laundry needs attention - not very clean and two of the tumble dryers (charge of $2 per session) are faulty - one with no door and another which stopped working mid-cycle leaving all my washing damp (refund given though). More power sockets are needed in there.Stayed four nights and requested clean towels after three nights but didn’t get any - apparently a communication breakdown.
