It did not happen because...
Liked: Despite sending us a message via Booking. Comthat morning,when we got there they did not have a room for us despite booking it in early December. There was no reception . They were supposed to send us a code to get access to our room but did not. Another family had precisely the same problem. The only staff present were cleaners. Appalling!!

Horrible.
Disliked: Upon arrival the hotel was closed, there was a sign on the door stating that 'The Corner Hotel is now closed'. Calling the phone number on the sign proved to be useless and after asking around it turned out that we weren't the first to be faced with a closed door. We had to find another hotel. We had booked this hotel in september for a stay in march. An email explaining the situation beforehand would have been nice (and a refund!), no such thing happened. Not recommended.

Liked: How would you feel if you arrived at a hotel you paid for and found the door locked and darkness everywhere???
Disliked: We didn't like that the hotel was closed and no one informed us about it! We request a refund of the entire amount paid for accommodation with breakfast. Booking has not replied to us since March 4!

Never again! You lost a...
Liked: the only positive thing to say about this hotel, was the reception clerk that did his utmost best to compensate me for the situation of the closed hotel.
Disliked: I was redirected to another hotel, totally at an inconvenient location for me, 40 min drive from the Corner Hotel. In a bad neighbourhood. I had extra expenses to get to and from, every day, who will compensate me for that? Breakfast simply vanished from the service, Allthough I had paid for it, there wasn't even a breakfast room in the alternative hotel. The reception clerk gave me cash for a breakfast in a coffee shop, did I look that bad??? I was on the third floor without elevator, I had to carry suitcase up the stairs. Also ridiculous was the mail I received on the day of arrival, that said 'we expect you at the Corner Hotel'. LOL.
