Expected more

Liked: The grounds and main building are really beautiful and it’s very well located on the edge of Lenox. The staff were very nice, especially the woman at reception in the afternoons whose name I sadly didn’t get.
Disliked: The room (a deluxe king) was sooooo tiny and cramped we could barely open our suitcases. No amenities to speak of, left paper cups in the bathroom and next to the coffee machine rather than a real glass/mug. The bed was massive but not comfortable. Also the room was right on the street and not at all sound or light proof and we couldn’t open the shades because anyone on the street could look right in to our room. The breakfast was adequate but they could splurge on some decent bread, jam or pastries and not serve sliced supermarket bread and cake. Just didn’t have that touch you expect from a good b&b

You feel @Home

Liked: A very nice house, the staff so friendly and a kind of family approach with all the gifts like a wine bottle and the kind words. Room decoration very very nice, I had a breakfast: it was to order on the menu and so delicious.
Disliked: Check-in window is limited. It didn't bother me this time, but it would stress me if I arrived later Opening doors with the magnetic cards was not very easy for me. I got out for a late dinner, and when I came back late around 11h30pm, the card didn't open the main door at the first attemps. I didn't want to call the emergency number not to disturb the staff. Another couple arriving at the same time helped me get in and every thing was perfect.

We may look for another...

Liked: The breakfast under the old management there was more variety They ran out of English Breakfast Tea and claimed they could not get any from their supplier But they could buy this at the local grocery
Disliked: We used to get sangria every night no more

Very comfortable and friendly, helpful...

Liked: Wonderful staff and all necessary touches in room. Breakfast food was just so-so. Maybe you do not need to include breakfast as there are several good breakfast eateries in Lenox.
Disliked: Nor much.

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Pamela Sat, 19 July 2025

Over priced, charmless- great staff...

Liked: Breakfast good/ location not as charming as I had hoped being on “Main Street” of Lenox
Disliked: Poorly decorated, lacked any “Berkshire Inn” charm, race or comfort- mixed bag of furniture, a lot of uncomfortable modern. I would call it “ garage sale” motif.I especially resented that we got no housekeeping services- dirty sheets and towels day 2- as we had not especially requested it by putting a card out at a certain time, and then only “every other day”.Outside facilities were not in good shape- broken bridge, glider, leaky porch roof. And we had to clean off our own Adirondack chairs on our porch.
