Very dog friendly. Lovely food...

Liked: Lots of parking. Lovely lake and very dog friendly. Food and drink prices pretty average. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable.
Disliked: Dated room, could do with refurb, was probably top of the range and mod cons 20 years ago, but now dated.

Will definitely stay there again

Liked: Staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms clean, comfortable and spacious. Good value breakfast in lovely dining room overlooking lake.
Disliked: It isn’t in central Cardiff but the taxis are not ridiculously expensive and the drivers are all friendly and helpful. Parking in Cardiff would have been difficult and expensive so it’s a trade off.

Good value, free parking, nice...

Liked: The bar was refurbished and renovated and looked lovely. The views of the lake from the bar is nice and the value for money is great. Breakfast was nice too and a big selection. Also has a lift. Close to shops, Tesco, m and s etc. Waitresses and bar staff and receptionist were lovely and friendly.
Disliked: When we arrived, the manager was speaking to the receptionist about an issue and continued to speak to her while we were there which I thought was unprofessional and if she was being disciplined it could have been done later. Rooms are dated but for the money it's understandable.

Absolutely outstanding

Liked: the staff were very warm and welcoming.Bed was huge and really comfortable.T.V. was a decent size.The mini fridge was a nice touch.The setting was very tranquil and peaceful.

Overall it was nice, but...

Liked: All good clean and tidy food very expensive, but overall a nice hotel
Disliked: Staff wasn’t very helpful when asking how to get to things and do things like didn’t know bus times didn’t order taxis wasn’t sure where anything was
